Most of the current power adaptors, whether self-excited or other type of circuit, are PWM system control voltage control circuit. In this kind of power adapter, the power adapter is always on/off periodically, and the PWM system only changes the pulse width of each cycle. Because the PWM system works in the linear region, 'it will not be saturated or cut off: it will not make a certain cycle pulse width zero, nor will it be out of control and close to the maximum pulse width naturally set by the intermittent oscillator. Thus, it can be said that this control is continuous, changing only "quantity" but not "quality".
The pulse control process of the apc power adapter is not linear continuous change, but only two states: when the output voltage of the power adapter exceeds the rated value, the pulse controller is saturated and the power adapter stops vibration; When the output voltage falls below the rated value, the pulse controller shuts down and the power adapter begins to oscillate. Swing is discontinuous and aperiodic, and the time ratio between the "u" and "plant" of the power adapter depends on the load size. When the load current decreases, the output voltage will not decrease rapidly due to the extended discharge time of the filter capacitor, and the power adapter will be in the cut-off state until the output voltage drops below the rated value, and the power adapter will be switched on again. The cut-off time of the power adapter depends on the size of the load current. The on/off of the power adapter is not controlled by a PWM system, but by an electronic switch sampling from the output voltage. Therefore, this apirc power adapter is very suitable for supplying power with intermittent or variable loads.
At the initial stage of development of aperiodic power adapters, they all adopt the shunt circuit structure. The voltage comparator composed of operational amplifiers will sample the output voltage into the control level and control the output pulse of the shunt oscillator. When the output voltage maintains the rated voltage, the comparator outputs high electrons and the oscillator shuts off the output pulse to make the power adapter shut off. When the output voltage is lowered, the comparator outputs low electrons, and the oscillating pulse turns on the power adapter. After the aperiodic power adapter enters the household appliances, in order to simplify the circuit, most of them adopt the self-oscillation mode and directly use the voltage regulator as the electronic switch. Because its control process is a combination of time ratio of oscillation state and suppression state (or blocking state), it is called the RINGINGCHOKECONVERTER, or RCC type switch voltage regulator for short. The obvious difference on the circuit is that PWM power adapter consists of independent sampling error amplifier and dc amplifier, while RCC power source only consists of regulator tube and electronic switch to control the on/off of power adapter.
