Components of charger
The charger adopts the power semiconductor device as the switching element, and controls the duty cycle of the switching element to stabilize the output voltage by periodically switching on and off. Charger is mainly composed of DC/DC converter, driver, signal source and comparison amplifier.

The functions of each link are as follows:
(1) DC/DC converter: used for power transformation, is the core part of the charger. DC/DC converter has a variety of circuit forms, among which the control waveform for square wave PWM converter and the working waveform quasi-sinusoidal resonant converter are widely used.
(2) driver: amplifying part of switch signal, amplifying and shaping switch signal from signal source to meet the driving requirements of switch tube.
(3) signal source: generate control signal, which is generated by the excitation or self-excitation circuit. It can be PWM signal, PFM signal or other signals.
(4) comparison amplifier: compare the given signal and the output feedback signal, control the amplitude, frequency and waveform of the switch signal, and control the duty cycle of the switch device through the driver, so as to stabilize the output voltage.
In addition, the charger also has auxiliary circuit, including the start circuit, over - voltage protection circuit, input filter circuit, output sampling circuit, function indicator circuit.
Compared with the linear power supply, the input transient transformation is more apparent at the output end. When the switching frequency is raised, the frequency characteristics of the feedback amplifier are improved, so that the transient response index of the charger is also improved. The transient response of load transformation is mainly determined by the characteristics of LC filters at the output end, so the transient response characteristics can be improved by increasing the switching frequency and reducing the LC value of the output filter.
