Dc charger

Dc charger
The DC charger, or DC/DC converter, converts a fixed DC voltage into a variable DC voltage, also known as DC chopper. There are two working modes of the chopper: one is that the pulse width modulation mode Ts remains unchanged and ton(universal) is changed; the other is that the frequency modulation mode ton remains unchanged and Ts is changed (prone to interference). Its specific circuit has the following types:
Buck circuit -- Buck chopper, the average output voltage U0 is less than the input voltage Ui, the polarity is the same;
(2) Boost circuit Boost chopper, the average output voltage U0 is greater than the input voltage Ui, the polarity is the same;
(3) Buck- Boost circuit or Boost chopper, the average output voltage U0 is greater than or less than the input voltage, the polarity is opposite, inductance transmission
(4) Cuk circuit buck or boost chopper, the average output voltage U0 is greater than or less than the input voltage Ui, the polarity is opposite, capacitance transmission.
Today's soft switch technology has made a qualitative leap in DC/DC, VICOR design and manufacture of a variety of ECI soft switch DC/DC converter, its maximum output power is 300W, 600W, 800W, the corresponding power density is 6.2W/cm310W/cm3, 17W/cm3, the efficiency is 80%~90%. Japanese Nemiclambda company's latest launch of a soft switch technology high-frequency charger module RM series, the switching frequency of 200~300kHz, power density has reached 27W/cm3, the use of synchronous rectifier (MOSFET instead of schottky diode), so that the entire circuit efficiency increased to 90%. Figure 2.30 shows a typical dc-dc module power supply.
